Clear chill cast iron rolls are cast to produce outer shell layer free of graphite, containing substantial amounts of carbide.

Rolls of this family have excellent wear resistance but are sensitive to fire cracking.

These rolls are produced either double poured or single layered depending on the application of the roll.
